Inhabitants

Joe Castrucci’s squad is anything but run of the mill, and though many chnges to the roster may have occurred between this and the last Habitat video “Mosaic”, things are still just as good as they’ve ever been. The editing is fantastic, as is the skating. Even the filming is above average, though I can’t say I’m all that surprised, when the previous video had these qualities as well. It is possible that if you look close enough, you will see an underlying message to everything. “Inhabitants of a world in decline” and “A world of shit” might be able to clue you in. It is nice to see a video that can have some sort of underlying meaning to it, while still keeping the emphasis on the skating instead of trying to preach to the viewer. The standout parts in this video in my opinion were Danny Garcia’s, Steve Durrante’s, Kerry Getz’s, and Stefan Janoski’s. Oh yeah, and here’s a secret. If you press enter during Fred Gall’s part, you will be treated to some of his footage from the early 90’s. The special features of this video include the best of clips from the habitat field log, as well as an ad for AWS’s video in the works called “Mind Field”. There were a few other things as well, like an international montage.
